Story
Only last year Attapeu was devastated by floods and whole villages lost lands and livelihoods. This new threat places their fragile recovery at risk. Four people have already lost their lives and 225 cases of acute watery diarrhoea have been reported. We urgently need to:
· Provide safe water · Treat acute watery diarrhoea infections · Train health staff to deal with the outbreak· Help communities set up an early-warning system
Across the border, impoverished indigenous communities in Ratanakiri, Cambodia are facing a similar threat. There have already been 39 deaths and 3,464 infections.
We need to safeguard the health of 17,000 vulnerable families in these regions. Please show your support and stand in solidarity with these very poor communities.
